This Site is dedicated to all those families of the people that have tragically disappeared on flights in and around New Zealand. I  only hope that from all the effort in building this site and from all the effort of those taking part in this venture, that it will bear fruit in bringing ‘closure’ to their memories!

Search Techniques.

Remember what I said in the last update... from a Report recorded by Jesse Miller?

Report from Craven township... “There was a fire observed to the SE in the hills

around 15 miles”

From Craven Township you can actually see this search area... (the yellow lines)...and it is to the SE!!!!

There is however, one problem with all this and that is all these projections are dependent on how accurate the height of the plane was seen. If it was below the height of the hill then it HAS to be in that area somewhere, whereas if it was above

the hill, it could be in a much larger area!

If anyone is keen on going in to look for it, please first contact Steven Oliver as this

land is privately owned and we need to have some kind of control over who goes in and when, otherwise if they start getting badgered from too many people asking for access, they are more than likely going to simply say “NO”.
By the time you are reading this, much of the area will have been searched anyway, and you will just be wasting your time going over already searched ground. Far better to be

productive and help out in searching an area that has not been searched.

Steven’s email address is steven_oliver@hotmail.com

Steven can also put you onto a cellphone App that can track your progress and save it as a kmz file to show where you have been on Google Earth and so long as you then send a copy of this file to him after your search, we can then add it to the file of where everyone has been.
Maybe we can then show all the areas searched on maybe Richard's Blogsite "The Search for VH - MDX" so that everyone can view progress? ... Just a thought at this stage!
